Transparent Pricing

Electrical diagnostic pricing

We tell you the price before we come out. No surprises when we arrive, and no repair work without your approval first.

Two Kinds of Calls

Two kinds of calls,
two kinds of pricing

When you already know what you want installed — an EV charger, a panel upgrade, recessed lighting — we can price it for free. The scope is clear, so there’s nothing to figure out.

When something stopped working and nobody knows why, that’s different. Finding the cause takes a licensed contractor, real test equipment, and time. That work is a paid diagnostic visit, and we tell you the price before we come out.

The Visit

What happens
on the visit

  1. We arrive in the window you booked.
  2. We ask what you’ve noticed — when it happens, whether it’s getting worse, what changed before it started.
  3. We test, trace the circuit, and isolate the cause.
  4. We explain what we found and what it takes to correct it.
  5. Nothing gets repaired without your approval.

Once the cause is identified, any recommended repair is priced separately and requires your approval before work begins.

FAQ

Can I upgrade my appointment to same-day or emergency service?

Yes, subject to availability. Pricing is based on the response time requested and the appointment that is ultimately provided. Moving a scheduled appointment to same-day or emergency response will change the applicable diagnostic rate.

What if I have more than one electrical problem?

Your diagnostic visit includes troubleshooting for one primary reported issue. We can look at additional concerns during the same appointment using any remaining included time. If diagnosing everything takes longer than the included period, additional troubleshooting is $30 per 15 minutes with your approval. There is no second dispatch charge for multiple problems at the same property.

What happens if troubleshooting takes longer than the included time?

The included time covers most calls. If more time is needed to locate or confirm the problem, we stop, explain what we’ve found so far, and ask for your approval before continuing. Additional troubleshooting is $30 per 15 minutes. You can authorize more time or stop there.

Will you fix it the same visit?

Usually, yes. We carry common parts and most repairs get finished during the diagnostic visit. Electrical parts have a lot of model variation, though, so sometimes a specific breaker or device has to come from a supply house. If that happens, we’ll tell you before we leave, and the return trip is included in the repair price — there’s no second service charge for coming back with the part.

Is the diagnostic fee credited toward the repair?

No. The diagnostic fee covers the service response and troubleshooting described above — travel, priority scheduling, professional testing, identifying the cause, and a repair recommendation with upfront pricing. You receive that whether or not you approve the repair. Repair labor and materials are priced separately.

Are after-hours rates different?

Yes. After-hours emergency response is $249 — that covers calls before 8am, after 5pm, and any time on weekends or holidays. It includes the same 45 minutes of on-site troubleshooting as the standard emergency rate. We’ll confirm the price and your estimated arrival before we dispatch.

Are these rates available for commercial properties?

The displayed diagnostic rates apply to standard residential service calls. Commercial troubleshooting is priced according to the property, access requirements, service priority, and anticipated scope of testing. Pricing will be confirmed before scheduling.

What’s the difference between same-day and emergency service?

Same-day priority service places you ahead of future standard appointments in the remaining same-day availability. Emergency response means immediate priority dispatch — interrupting the current schedule to get to you as quickly as possible. Estimated emergency arrival time will be confirmed before dispatch.
